Legal Aid Service Provider's Network

The FIDA Annual General Meeting was held at Hotel Africana and was attended by some active senior members such as The Chief Guest Hon. The retired Deputy Chief Justice Lady Justice Leticia Kikonyogo, Hon Dr. Miria Matembe, Lady Justice Hon. Dr. Winifred Nabisinde, the CEO, Hon Irene Ovonji Odida, among others.The meeting was also graced by the Secretary General of Uganda Law reform Commission Mr Aliro Omara. An elections Committee appointed by the members, chaired by Hon. Lady Justice Linda Mugisha, and The Coordinator of CEDU Crispy Kaheru presided over the elections. Other invited guests included a representative from USAID SAFE Project, Mrs. Sydey Etima Ojara, JLOS Technical Advisor Human Rights and Accountability Musa Modoi among others.

 

The main aim of the AGM was to elect a new Board of Directors and also to officially Launch the FIDA @40 Celebrations during the Cocktail Reception that lasted till late. There will be a series of events during these three Months i.e Sept - Nov 2014 which shall be communicated in due course.

 

The new FIDA Uganda Board of Directors are:
